Summer, Fireworks, and My Corpse
夏と花火と私の死体
- Summer, Fireworks, and My Corpse
Narrated by a dead nine-year-old, this nailbiting thriller was written when he was only seventeen. The nine-year-old killer and her eleven-year-old brother struggle to hide the body so that the adults will assume it was the work of a serial kidnapper.
A servant girl gradually realizes her master's 'wife' is actually a doll. A last minute twist still doesn't make this anything remarkable. Not a bad story, but not really worth devoting half the book to.
